Portage Community Bank is actively monitoring and responding to a recent wave of phishing text messages impersonating our institution. These fraudulent messages ask customers to confirm a purchase from Target for $236 by replying with "1" or "2."

Please be reminded:

• We will never contact you via text to confirm transactions.
• Do not reply to or click on links in suspicious messages.
• If you receive such messages, report them as junk immediately.
